From modest beginnings as a small machine shop in 1919, Gulf Coast Machine & Supply Company has grown into one of the largest and most productive forging facilities in the south. This is the GULFCO story: who we are and what we can do for the customer who demands quality and workmanship for today's modern applications.

How did GULFCO reach the leadership position in the forging industry? The answer is found in a philosophy of customer service. Because of a variety of applications for forgings, GULFCO approaches each product on an individual basis. There is no "typical" forging customer. GULFCO considers the individual needs of each of our customers and produces forging to the exact customer requirements and specifications.

This relationship works for us and for the customer because we at GULFCO sincerely believe in quality and service. That is why we pride ourselves on our record of providing quality products at a competitive price and delivered on or before the required delivery date.

Although our main business is forging, we also maintain a large and well-equipped machine facility to provide semi-finished and finished machine products. Through the years, we've developed our machine tool facility and built a strong labor force of highly skilled craftsmen.

In 1966, GULFCO initiated an energetic expansion program and moved to its present 26 acre site on Interstate 10. By 1976, with the addition of the latest equipment, the size of the plant was doubled to its present size of 280,000 sq. ft. under roof, comprising the forge shop, machine shop, heat treat shop, testing laboratory, and office facilities.
